Flattering and Decent Suit for Under $50

Yup, love it and everything that Cathe the Pro-Ager Reviewer said rings true. I can’t add much to that entertaining review but this:I would say it is true to size, so don’t overthink it. I am 5’6”, about 160 lbs. and bigger on the bottom than the top. (Gosh, I hate seeing that in print.) I’m also lamenting the middle-aged unwelcome guest of a bit of softness ‘round the middle, but it’s too late to take back those tacos now. Look, nothing’s going to change your body in whatever state it’s in now except a better diet and regular exercise, but let’s be honest, not all of us have that commitment. Soo…. the best you can do if you’re over 40 and not a swim or track star is to work on yourself AND try to choose flattering clothes for the shape you’re in THIS MOMENT. I hate to be a bummer to the still-under-40 beach bunnies, but I was once you and time and pounds will sneak up you faster than you think, so try to adopt healthier life habits, "Gather ye darling buds while ye may" and do what you can. There, off my soapbox.I opted for the large and I would say it’s just right. It’s snug all around, the girls aren’t falling out and there’s decent coverage on the bottom. I can move easily without having to adjust or pull on anything. If I could drop 10 lbs., it would REALLY pop, but this size was a good choice for my overall shape. I was worried going for a XL might be baggy up top. The halter neckline should be flattering on most women. I call it "The Marilyn.” It prompts the hourglass figure and channels your inner Marilyn Monroe. The material is okay and pretty much what you’d expect for $30, although hand-washing is a must. It bled color at the first touch of cold water in the sink, but that was expected. The ruched style indeed provides a bit of streamlining assistance for the tummy. There are lightly padded cups and you needn’t worry about it being see-through anywhere (at least not for the red color.)Not being brave enough to post myself in it, how about a couple of shots of what it became? I had a friend sew on the white lining, I added a soft belt and "Viola!”, I now have my official Christmas bathing suit! Easy to pull off in Florida. If you can afford a higher quality suit for upwards of $80, blessings to you, but if want a decent one-piece for under $50, this is it!
