Over the past few years I've bought New Balance shoes that only lasted 1-2 years before the stitching ripped, the thin material got even thinner and the overall quality was Cr--. These shoes were made in China and "Indonesia". I didn't even give them to GoodWill. I was on the verge of giving up New Balance when I tried these shoes. "USA" and "Made in USA" are written all over the box and packaging. The materials are strong and durable, the carvings and stitching are impeccable. They have a "roll" feature that supposedly stabilizes your stance. I have knee and balance problems and need extra support when walking. When I first put them on, they reminded me of snowshoes. Not particularly pretty, but lying face down after a fall isn't worth it either. I also found that I didn't have to use the $400 orthotics my doctor prescribed, even though there was plenty of room for them. The only minor downside is the "tongue" in the left boot - it's slightly longer than the tongue in the right boot, but not enough to be a problem. I am very happy with these shoes and I hope New Balance will continue. make your products in the USA!
