Works perfectly! But. for storage and organization

Make sure to wash hats of the same color. White garments should be washed separately. I washed some whites with colors and some of the colors bled onto my whites. I washed mine in the dishwasher. I tried washing it with plain water and dish soap. Pure water seems to work just as well as dish soap. Most of my hats looked brand new, even old hats that have yellowed after 5-6 years of use. Your hats wash fine in the dishwasher without this basket, but the basket will help them dry better. Wash only in the top drawer. In general I am very satisfied. I have about 50 hats, so I throw a few in every time we do the dishes. At the time of this review I have washed about 30 hats.
