I bought this to use with a guitar pedal processor (Line 6 Helix to be exact) as my new MacBook Pro (and many other new laptops) as USB-C is every other USB standard significantly exceeds almost all intents and purposes) does not have USB Type B connectors. These cables are hard to find in the average electronics store, and Amazon was pretty much the only place I could sell them. The cable is very high quality and seems to be quite durable for the low price. It's also fast and I haven't had any connection issues so far.
