The size is perfect - we have a small house and all.
This is my oldest son's 3rd birthday present because he asked for a lock. It was such a big hit with him. The size is perfect - we have a small house and the fact that it folds up for storage (with all the pieces inside) was really important. My son plays with it both on the floor and on the table. He occasionally uses characters he took for walks (horses seem to be his favorite), but also combines them with his Daniel Tiger characters to pretend it's Prince Wednesday's castle. The amount of detail is just right here - the stairs, dungeons, towers and doors seem to invite imaginative play but are open enough to inspire many ideas. My son can be a little rough with his toys but this has held up very well over the 9 months we had.
