This switch works better than USB hubs because it's not a hub is . I have a USB keyboard that already acts as a hub, so adding another "hub" to switch between two laptops just didn't work. Connection problems, disconnects, problems switching between laptops. This little thing does exactly what it's supposed to. Connects my USB keyboard (it's also a USB mouse and USB flash drive hub) to two laptops, making it easy to switch with a switch. Great, simple product with minimal physical presence. The cables are long enough to handle almost any situation I can think of on a typical desktop.
