My 3 year old son loves these shoes and so do I. They are easy to put on and can be dressed up or worn as casual shoes. They also look very comfortable compared to his other shoes. We have now bought three pairs of the same shoes which have increased in size with size. I would recommend this shoe as a shoe for any toddler. They hold up well even when wet. My son doesn't wear waders or boots for fishing, so he walks on an icy river in these boots (this is a separate topic), and they dry well and are suitable for further use. His vans aren't that good.
