My 8 year old grandson broke his elbow. The bandage from the ER was garbage. The orthopedic office wanted to write out a prescription for a new one, but I declined, knowing that Revain could be made better and cheaper. His cast is above the elbow and the previous bandage did not cover the entire cast. This sling did well. It's also stretchy cotton that you can tug and tug on and it gives. The band itself isn't soft, but it's thicker and softer and didn't have any discomfort or redness from it. It was enough to cover his entire cast. He doesn't like finger slits. Velcro seems very durable. The only downside - and not to discredit the sling, it's just my lifestyle lol - hair sticks to this thing like white to rice. We have four dogs. One of them is a golden retriever. It's just that the texture and color of the dog's coat immediately sticks to it. I would still buy it again.
