Review on Spode Blue Italian Luncheon Plate: Classic Elegance for Stylish Dining by Jon Manning

Although the bottom says 'Made in England' this is an inferior, defective Spode 'second hand' product, dishonestly advertised as a top quality Spode. It has several rough holes in the glaze (stilt marks) with irregular pieces of porcelain protruding below. Every plate in my two orders (2 sets of 4) had this defect. You can feel it when you pick up the plates and the instinct is to turn them over to check if they are clean because it feels like there is dried food on the floor. At worst, unglazed ceramic pieces protrude so much that it looks like you could scratch them. The pattern is dirty and washed out compared to high quality Spode products. Spode sells these defective items cheaply, but this seller refers to them as standard quality Spode and charges higher prices. I regret falling for that bait - don't repeat my mistake! Don't fall for this cheap, flawed plagiarism! If you are adding items to your Blue Italian collection or even just interested in receiving a quality product as advertised you will be very disappointed with this scam.
