These headsets really solved the problem our technical team was talking about. They are convenient, the batteries last 2.5-3 hours for preparation and maintenance. The range is amazing. We can hear each other anywhere in the building. (I even wore a pair outside and to the end of the precinct, maybe 300 feet apart, and we were able to communicate just fine.) We're usually all within 75 feet of each other, but sometimes a sound engineer has to go into a back room to record live -Hearing broadcasts on TV and we can still hear each other 100 feet apart through two walls and a corridor. Features I like: 1. Turning the mic to the vertical position mutes the transmission so others can't hear what you're saying, or mostly not what others are saying to you. The microphone rotates in both directions, so you can wear it on either ear with one earphone.3. There are volume buttons with tone response, so you can designate the volume when you increase or decrease the volume.4. You can press and hold the blue LED to turn it off to save battery life. The battery still lasts several hours. It comes with a charger for 8 batteries.6. It comes with a nice zippered pouch for storage or travel. Having no experience with these types of devices and having no technical background to judge the sound quality, there may be reasons why more expensive devices are worth the money, but I should try to hear and talk to my colleagues during of the service (without interrupting the service with your voices) is a great tool.
