I hate the cheap stands that come out of the box with every flat screen. I needed something permanent and I wanted something that would elevate it so I could have more space on my cluttered dresser (where I put the TV). I have a 32 inch Samsung flat screen. The assembly instructions were a bit tricky at first, but I figured it out quickly. It took maybe 30 minutes or less to assemble. The finished product is beautiful. He sets the TV up quite high, giving me more space on the dresser. And I can put things on the tempered glass stand. Brilliant. I also like the detailing on the back of the stand that holds the wires in place and helps organize the space. Just got it now so can't say for sure how long it will last, but so far it seems to be pretty sturdy.
