I bought these to stow on a South Pacific cargo ship, Aranui, that was going to the offshore Marquesas for two weeks. On several trips we had to get wet in the boat that took us to shore so I put this watch on. It worked great. What you need to know is that the crown doesn't tighten, it's designed that way, so don't worry! They feel a bit rougher on my skin than my regular watch, but I've gotten used to it.
