I'm a Giga size, big enough to cover all but part of my desk. Construction, feel and durability are top notch. I let my cat hang onto him and she didn't hurt him with her claws. My only concerns are with the practicality of this thing. If you have a large desk with three monitors, monitor stands, speakers, keyboard, mouse, USB hub, some audio equipment and other assorted peripherals and bells and whistles on your desk. or off is a real pain. Do you want to unplug everything on your desk and move it somewhere else, or do you want to try picking things up one at a time and gradually rolling the mat underneath (still accidentally unplugging and cables thru your desk along the way)? And then to clean this thing you either need a bathtub or a driveway and a hose. When I first cleaned it there was 30cm of snow outside so I had to use the bathtub oh and I hope you have a pretty strong shower curtain rod to hold this thing up. It's heavy enough when it's dry, and even more so when it's soaked after cleaning. If you let it dry inside it takes forever, it wouldn't be so bad if you could put it outside in the sun, heat and wind in the summer, but inside it takes a long time. Just because this item is so difficult to clean, I do it less often than I should, has allowed me to delay cleaning this item by over 7 months, which was a lot longer than most people would like as it was very dirty at the time. . On the other hand, I work, study, play, play with my cat, and eat at my desk, so yes, if you keep a clean workspace, it doesn't get dirty anytime soon. Keeping your carpet nice and clean all the time is going to take a lot of work. If your table is decorated in a minimalist style and there are not many things on it, then perhaps everything is not so bad. If you have a lot of things on your desk, this works every time you want to clean it. If you're a clean freak, you'll be washing this massive piece all the time. Problem. If you're lazy and hate cleaning this thing, it's going to give you a headache. I personally love and hate this thing, having a notebook the size of my desk is both a blessing and a curse. Damn nice to have, not so much to care about. I underestimated the responsibility of owning a gigastol sized mouse pad, I'm sure many people won't have the same problems owning one as I did, but well I'm a lazy slacker and now I will clear I had to get the slightly smaller and easier to maintain.
