I really only needed to replace the bumper buttons but I opted for a kit to replace the entire controller. As a result, I only replaced the cross and buttons on the bumper. I didn't change any of the other buttons because I didn't feel confident removing the circuit boards to get to them. I originally replaced both the bumper and the release buttons, but the plastic is too thick in some places and interferes with fully depressing the buttons on the bumper, so I had to return the stock release buttons. It seems to be an issue with almost all of the kit. The casing that wraps around the buttons on the bumper and above the logo/button also didn't fit properly and I had to sand down the sections of the buttons on the bumper that actually make contact with the activator inside the controller. I don't know all the technical terms. Other buttons on top of the controller may not have this issue, but I've decided not to replace them for now.
