Ideal for controlled sleep. We also use it for prone/side lying. It's great for our little one and he feels very comfortable. The sides give us extra security with every movement of the child. This sleeper is very well made and I love that the cover is easy to wash and easy to put on a sofa or bed, pack away and play with, or around the grandparents' house. This is perfect for those cold sleeps or naps during the day.
