HDMI Audio Extractor

I'm so thankful something like this exists. Unfortunately, the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S don't have an optical cable port, so connecting current-gen consoles will require a bit of improvisation. This is where this handy gadget comes into play. I wanted to connect my Xbox Series S to a monitor so the audio would come out of my Logitech Z533 speakers. I tried a 3.5mm aux to USB cable and an RCA to USB cable hoping that would be my solution but neither worked. It wasn't that easy to connect a USB port to an Xbox and an RCA or Aux plug to the speakers. I watched some YouTube videos, who recommended an audio extractor. And to be honest they offered a little more expensive which is twice as much. I figured they all do the same thing or have similar issues, so I went with these. My monitor isn't 4K so I can't confirm it actually outputs 4K (Xbox Series S is 1440p anyway). I have two claims. First for performance, I don't know if this is due to Audio Extractor being involved, but there are some issues during gameplay. The picture even freezes for a split second. I haven't bothered to troubleshoot to find what is causing the problem. I connected the USB cable that came with the Audio Extractor to my surge protector. I do not know yet, whether the problem persists when the device is connected to a different power source. Also, the description says that the included micro USB cable is optional if you need extra power to get the audio extractor working. but I immediately realized that even a minimal setup like mine still requires it. It's not very long either, so the places it can be placed are limited. It can only fit in one spot in my cable tray under my desk. Otherwise it's a great piece and I like it. but I immediately realized that even a minimal setup like mine still requires it. It's not very long either, so the places it can be placed are limited.
