I was pleasantly surprised that the display wasn't set to Celsius. There is a small button on the back to toggle the display between Fahrenheit and Celsius. Judging by the attached paper, there are six variants of this device. Mine appears to be S-WS052 because it has a C/F toggle button on the back. I only bought this device in anticipation of Celsius, but I'm glad it does both. Response time is not fast. I put it in the freezer and it took a few minutes for the temp gauge to read slightly below zero. Although this is normal. Temperatures don't usually change quickly anyway. This seems accurate enough. We have other thermometers in the house that are a few degrees apart and this one is on the high end of the range. The only downside is that there is no good way to mount it. You can't put it on its back because that's where the sensor ports are. It can stand on the edge but is too narrow to be stable. I need to 3D print a mount for it. Maybe I'll put a fridge magnet in the mount.
