Before purchasing this item, I went to a fabric store and found that similar items cost between $19 and $60. I just didn't want to buy an item that cuts fabric that I would probably only use a few times because I'm only using it to make a Halloween costume at this price point. Not only does it come with additional blades, but the blade and its safety features are incredible. I highly recommend this product. The blade is very sharp and absolutely what you need when making a precise cut through fabric, but definitely be careful because I've cut myself a few times.
