Two months from new to bin

I had to wait a bit before writing this review because I wanted to see how the mats hold up. Now, just two months after receiving it, I have an answer and it's not good. (Purchased March 2016 / Reviewed May 2016) I bought two of these mats to use in my hot tub - mainly to have a raised spot to wash dirty legs/feet before stepping into the tub. You will be outside in a partially enclosed area but will get the morning sun and some exposure to the elements depending on the strength of the storm. But for an item built specifically for use in wet conditions, I am terribly disappointed with how quickly the matte finishes deteriorated and how dry the products dried out. They creak and pop and I'm pretty sure one of them is about to break. They are not used daily and once you get used to them it is in just a few seconds as people enter and exit the hot tub. I can't imagine these rugs being used in the shower by multiple people on a daily basis and lasting any useful time. Ironically, I don't have the lower casting issues that some mention in their reviews; I think because ours don't get wet that often. But now they look cracked and faded and I'm afraid the next step might be splinters. I'll probably throw them away shortly before then. An extremely disappointing result.
