The workmanship of the Fullmosa straps is impeccable, the stitching, the cut and layering of the top and bottom, the fit of the buckles, everything is top notch. But somehow her skin doesn't convince. This strap is unpadded and the leather lies perfectly flat without the slight changes in thickness or grain that you would expect from real leather. Can it be so perfect and still be real leather? I have discussed this via email with their customer service representative about their other product, the strap for the Asus model. As beautiful as it is, it doesn't have the spirit of real leather, it doesn't react to shoe polish like real leather does to me. However, they insist it is real. Finally, I asked them why they subjected the leather to processes that made it indistinguishable from vinyl. This strap is the best. I tested it at a shoeshine shop and it held up like leather. Then I decided to work. After twisting and twisting, it started to show character until, wahla, I was convinced. this is skin But this "gray polished leather" strap isn't gray at all, as another reviewer mentions. It's definitely an army dark grey, which I didn't want. I wanted grey. Different cultures have different color perceptions. In Japan, the traffic light's green light is blue-green, which I think makes it turquoise, and this band isn't the medium gray that Chinese manufacturers make it. But it's beautifully made, it's leather after all, and I just noticed that it has a whopping 9 buckle holes. I checked three other straps and they have 8, 8 and 7! I have kept it, put it on my watch and will have more faith in Fullmosa in the future. In the photos it is seen on a Skmei chronograph, and the dark gray color is vaguely combined with the yellow details of the hands on the dial. The photos were taken under a halogen lamp, which illuminates the watch with too bright, warm light to capture its colors, but I doubt anyone will dispute that this strap is anything but grey. I find these thin straps very comfortable and easy to wear. I have a fullmosa perforated rally strap which I also assumed was real and not leather until I put it on my watch and put it on and it has become one of my favorite watch straps. This taupe genuine leather strap will likely follow the same path.
