3rd party flash 560 III and OEM flashes gathering dust

Reliability, exceptional durability and a multiple price reduction. and doors, reassemble them and they light up instantly. My $500+ OEMs wouldn't survive even one of those drops. Have a YN controller/trigger so you don't need a Model IV (and very rarely if ever have a body flash other than just as bounce fill and triggers and/or triggers for OCF gear in the studio) and that was never the case. The only problem with them other than the fact that they would shut down and go to sleep fairly quickly when the batteries died. Pairing and grouping is tedious, but only the first pass, and the ability to adjust both levels and zoom from the camera is invaluable. Three of these AND a group trigger costs less than half the cost of a single OEM device, is twice as powerful and ten times more flexible. Einsteins sometimes won't even turn on in the studio - the YN setting is very convenient and easy to set up without leaving the camera. Plus, they work with ANY standard camera, so no adapters are needed. Great WinMetal shoes, good closure, extremely flexible and very reliable. I took at least 300,000 shots with my first one and it's crappy but still works. + all day, every day.

Pros
  • Top marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Nothing
