This is a great looking fan, easy to install and very quiet. We attached a remote control to the wall and use it like a regular light switch. There are 3 light modes, white, white-blue, soft warm white. We really like the soft/warm light but the only problem is that it always goes to the brightest blue and white light when switched on. You need to press the button several times to get soft light. I wish you could choose the default lighting color. I had an installation issue, the bracket that the bottom duct hangs on is wider than the standard control box that was in our ceiling so I couldn't just screw the bracket onto the control box like the previous fan. My ceiling is wood so screwing the fixture in was not a suggestion, but if it were drywall I would have to use the included fixings. This would require drilling holes in the ceiling for drywall anchors and unless you are mechanically savvy with the right tools this can be a problem.
