Review on Accurate Non-Contact Infrared Thermometer for Adults - Forehead Thermometer (Purple) by Tatiane White

Very easy to use. I have a different thermometer but wanted one of the newer non-contact ones. I just wasn't sure about the accuracy. So I compared some readings with my old Exergen temporal artery thermometer, which is used by touching the center of the forehead and sliding across the skin to the temple. To the best of our knowledge, this Exergen model has always been consistent and accurate. I found that when I placed this new one inch above the skin near the temple area I got stable readings very similar to Exergen's, for example within 0.2 degrees. When I measured the temperature in the center of my forehead, it was much lower, sometimes almost a full degree lower. I work in healthcare and my facility takes daily forehead and temple temperatures with a non-contact infrared thermometer like this one. So now I always put it on the side of my forehead/temple area as it gives the most accurate readings.
