Maybe I just received a defective device! This is currently happening in about 13% or more of all products made in China. (It's NOT a slam against China, it's a fact!) But it didn't work on the first try. Then the second time "brewed" (I only cleaned the first use.), but not very warm. After several attempts I managed to get a coffee pot but it took me over an hour to get this coffee pot. As with this and any other product not only made in China, some will come off the assembly line defective. It's a fact of life! Please don't always blame the company for a bad experience, what matters most is how they deal with it and move forward! (I have not received any compensation for this review!)
