I received two pairs of these pants a few weeks ago and was pleased with my first impression. The material is light but looks sturdy, the zippers work well, the seams are tight. I have worn the pants several times to test and have not found any problems. The feel of the zippers on the knees is noticeable at first, but we humans are an adaptable species and after a few minutes everything was fine. I had no trouble. They easily convert into shorts when putting on the pants, but I've had trouble doing the opposite, although nimble fingers may not have a problem. I recently put them on for a hike on a very warm day and found them very breathable and comfortable. I was wearing a cotton t-shirt that got sweaty quickly, but I had no problem with pants. I expect these pants to last, but if not I'll revise this review accordingly. A few words on sizing: I'm 6" 1", 190 lbs, 36" waist, 32" inseam. I ordered size XL and am happy with the fit. Legs are a bit loose but that's ok as I prefer sportswear for outdoor activities. A size chart is located below the photos on the left hand side. makes more sense than the "small-medium-large" etc. approach that you need to specify when ordering.
