Button and remote control in lamps and ceiling fans

There is an on/off switch on the flower stand, as well as a remote control. It takes a few tries to turn it on because sometimes the button doesn't work. The remote control is cool, but you have to point it at a tree at a certain angle to change the colors. The timer on the remote control sometimes works. This is a great gift; but will cause some problems.
