These bin liners are the normal size for normal kitchen bins. They're a bit thinner than regular bin liners, but that's to be expected considering they're biodegradable. But it didn't affect us. They didn't break or crack. I'm pregnant and even the "unscented" garbage bags still have the smell, which has been a struggle for me. You don't smell! We originally bought them because I've bought biodegradable plates and dishes but didn't feel it made sense to use non-biodegradable bin liners. But we also intend to use biodegradable diapers when our baby arrives, and again, there's no point in using biodegradable diapers if you're just going to put them in a non-biodegradable bin liner. I'm thankful they exist and intend to use them exclusively from now on! I think it's great that we can do our part to stop contributing to the ever-expanding landfill.
