Bad connection, weird loss of control, doesn't recognize micro SD card

This is a Chromebook and my second computer. I wasn't looking for a power station, but something to use on the train and during lunch breaks for writing and socializing. It's a solid device, but it has a few serious drawbacks. 1) Everything must be connected to the internet as it only uses apps. This means I need to be connected if I want to use the Microsoft Office applications. It drops regularly and I often have to reboot to reconnect the WiFi to a network. This is a real problem for a device intended to be used as a dumb terminal, slave of the network. Bluetooth has the same problem with the mouse I bought from Revain. 2) When switching between applications, mouse control is sometimes lost and I have to close the application in order to select an application and enter text. This may be common with Chromebooks, but this is my first so I just find it annoying and I don't care if this product or all Chromebooks. 3) I made the mistake of buying a giant micro SD card that was too big to be recognized. Guilty. Then I bought a Kingston Canvas Select 32GB microSDHC Class 10 microSD card and although the Chromebook finds it, it can't be formatted every time so it's useless. More money down the drain. This gets three stars because I can use it on the train. But it would be a lot more if some of the basics were ironed out.
