Review on FreshLock Plus Storage Microban 10 Piece by Joe Clayton

Let me start by saying that this Pyrex FreshLock Plus 10 Glass Jar Set is a quality product in every way. Of course I have other glass containers, plastic containers and Tupperware paraphernalia. But this set goes well with the best of them. Here are some of the things I love most about this set: The lids have 4 easy-open locking tabs that allow for airtight and sealed storage, and built-in antimicrobial product protection, which they call Microban. Plus, the lids are BPA-free and dishwasher, freezer, and microwave safe. That's nice. However, the lids lack the ventilation tabs, which the product description refers to as "microwave-free cooking". If it is a design change, such as to maintain a tight seal, the product description should be updated to reflect this. I think it's ok. But the ventilation tabs are a nice feature. In comparison, Tupperware's Vent and Serve containers work great. As for glass containers. Well, it's pure pyrex glass that won't stain or absorb food odors. And they're dishwasher, freezer, and microwave safe, too. Compared to your regular plastic cooking pan, this is no competition. The only downside I can think of is the odd sizes that come with the set. Two small bowls, one large bowl and two rectangular containers, one shallow and one deep. I've already used them all so I don't think it's a big deal. All in all, these are easy 5 stars.
