I have an Apple "PEN/STYLUS" and needed a different stylus to pair with another iPad. AMUTOST was packaged just as nicely as the Apple PEN in a rectangular white box. It includes a short 6-inch charging cable, a paper quick start guide, and a spare nib. Once paired with Bluetooth on the iPad, it worked great, with a very pleasant tactile experience and a responsive display touch. It's almost the same. Roughly the size of an Apple PEN and features a shallow notch to prevent it from rolling off a desk, with a built-in magnet for attaching to iPad Pro models. The top has a recessed ON/OFF button that turns the PEN on 2 hours before shutting down To conserve the internal battery, it claimed to run 15 hours on a single charge, it worked flawlessly on my iPad Gen 6 and Gen 8 I've used it for some basic graphics apps as well as app picker or selector. It worked every time, never missed a "touch". How is a $25 PEN different from a $100 Apple Pen? this.2) In traffic, if the Apple Pen can be charged directly from the iPad's Lightning port, you need to find a USB charger to connect it to, and you need to carry a small proprietary charging cable (don't lose it, know 3) The Apple Pen shows battery life on the iPad's home screen, but this one doesn't, and until the Power LED turns off you don't know how much power is left. CONCLUSION: A very good, inexpensive alternative to the APPLE PEN with a few drawbacks. If you've always wanted to try/use a stylus with your iPad, this is a great way to jump in without breaking the bank. UPDATE - 3/14/21 ONE STAR removed due to LED power outage. I've noticed that the LED has stopped working, so I have no idea if the pen is on or off, or needs to be charged. I will ask Revain for a replacement as they still have a 30 day return policy.
