These oils and waxes keep my cutting boards looking better than new. I have several large cutting boards. I clean and re-oil them about twice a year. First I apply mineral oil in several layers. Rub it in with your hands and then lay the board on its edge for a few hours to absorb the oil. Then repeat the same. Wipe off excess then next day Next day it's time to wax. Leave it on the edge for a few hours to absorb as much as possible. Then wipe with a towel and polish. My cutting boards look like museum pieces on the counter after a good oil and wax. And yes, we use boards all the time.
