I cannot praise the Chaco Z2 Cloud enough. I recently moved away from Birkenstock which still holds a special place in my heart but I can take these chacos anywhere there is water or mud (hiking, gardening, walking, dog bathing) and still get support for that arch of foot. Need for plantar fasciitis. I literally wear them from the moment I get out of bed to the moment I get back in. It took a minute to figure out the straps, but if you follow the instructions and tug gently you'll adjust them quickly and they're quite comfortable. I have a lighter pattern (mint green background with navy blue pattern, gray insole) and they're pretty stain resistant considering how I've abused them before. I was afraid there would be a nasty black stain on the insole that would have to be washed off constantly, but that didn't happen. It took less than a day to penetrate and maybe a day more to get used to the position of the unknown web. I love them, wear them as much as possible and hope they last (looks like they will) and would happily spend $$ on another pair when the time comes.
