I want to start by saying I really like the straps and the way the clips look. It can be seen that they are really high quality and quality made. I bought them and they were sitting in my closet when my current belt needed replacing. I had a business meeting coming up and I wanted to use a black buckle with a black belt, tried to fasten it but couldn't fasten the black belt. I tried with a brown belt and same problem. So I switched to a silver buckle and it worked great. On closer inspection, the teeth of the black buckle were too long and, combined with the thickness of the belt, impossible to close. Looks good but doesn't work and is just unusable. It is clear that they have not been tested for use and have not gone through a quality control process, which is disappointing.
