Mediocre but front is ok for the price

My mother bought probably the worst car out there, a 4 cylinder Ford Explorer with a BEIGER interior. Since no one who ever goes outdoors should have a beige interior, I looked around for subtle but not extravagant seat covers. These covers are mediocre at best. The front seat covers fit fairly well, although the buckle clasps, which are used to tighten by pulling between the backrest and the seat and tightening underneath, don't work as well. Some buckles have enough traction to hold the belt while others don't. I was disappointed that there was no Velcro sewn into the headrest hole to tighten the top. Also, the accent material isn't straight stitched at all. For the price, I find the front cover acceptable. The real problem with this set is the rear covers. It consists of two parts for a separate bench. back cover and seat cover. Same problem with the stitching and the belt buckles, but besides that if there are any kinks in the upper bench or your seat belts are fastened in the seat you're going to have a hard time. In contrast to the front parts, the back also has no sewn-in back and the wrong side of the bench turns into a sea of straps. The headrest covers appear to be the same size and look scruffy on the rear headrests because they're smaller, and as other reviewers have mentioned there's no good way to tighten the headrest. If you have a flat base bench seat with a strap that runs across the seat this might work better, but not a lot of padding and straps make it tight and snug on a bench with different back heights. The lumps and bumps shown in my photos are where the seat belts are and there is no way to tuck them in to keep them looking smooth. Unfortunately I cannot recommend these covers unless a major upgrade has been made to the bench portion.
