I was very pleasantly surprised. I didn't read the fine print so thought I screwed up when I received the package with the tiny "pearls" but went back to the product description to see they needed soaking. When soaked, they turned out exactly how I wanted them. They are cheerful and can get away from you! Out of curiosity, I dried five test subjects and they regained their original size, then I recreated them and they grew again, not as big the second time but close! Not that you have to reuse them with the quantity you get. The perfect color for tasting absinthe.
