What I can tell you is that this product works well for me. I have naturally dark brown hair and this is my first time bleaching, it has lightened my colour, I still have all my hair and I use a deep/quality conditioner all the time, the hair grows back well. Used 2-3 times for highlighting in the last 3 months. PLEASE NOTE: I'm using a Link amp here. A gram scale was also used to weigh out the correct amount of each brightening and toning blend. Mixed and Matched Tie Clips b/c Wella $$$ Tie Clip Set. Found Ion sells Step 1 at a tiny affordable price for one highlighter each. Ion also sells levels 2 and 3. You use these levels at different lighting points. You probably already know more than me anyway! Thumbs up for this product.
