Good shoes ADV: shoes

Good shoes ADV. Fit well, comfortable, warm and easy to put on and take off. These boots have a stitched sole instead of being glued like most other boots. The stitched outsole is thin and the toe box isn't as big as some other ADV and MX boots, so shift control isn't an issue. The outsole is stiff enough to stand comfortably on footpegs and stretches well for traction. Additionally, the cambered outsole has no ridges, making it easier to slide your foot back and forth to operate the derailleur. Some other off-road boots have a lot of stretch throughout the length of the boot, which keeps your foot in place. However, these are ADV boots, so there is more flexibility in the foot area of the boot. The upper or vamp in the foot area isn't as strong as the MX boots or some other ADV boots so I wouldn't want to drop a whole 1250GS on them but they seem stiff enough to take a hit from one Branch. The rest of the upper, from the ankle up, is stiff and feels well protected. These boots are good for walking, certainly not as good as hiking boots, but I mowed the lawn in them to break them in and my feet felt good. after. Yes they are expensive but for now I think they will be worth it in the long run.
