Our new lifeguard ate our very expensive worn leather stool that comes with the chair. I was less than thrilled because we couldn't fix it, it was overkill. We couldn't afford them anyway, and when I looked for similar frayed real leather poufs, they cost hundreds of dollars and were nowhere near as good as ours. I found this ottoman and although it was in a different style I really like the mid-century look. Plus it has storage space and it almost seemed to match our leather chair. It was perfect, it looks upscale yet affordable. It seems sturdy and well made, but we've only had it a week so keep checking back. Overall I'm very satisfied and don't write many reviews. People who say it doesn't look like leather may have been given a different color or something because ours looks and feels like high quality aged leather.
