Great quality and good workmanship at a reasonable price. Smart purchase.

Hello, In the early 1980's high quality speaker cables started to appear on the market. Some of the product claims were absolutely incredible and had prices to match. And today we are told this nonsense. The audio cable must be burned in or run in for 100 hours. The best cable is cryogenically treated. Audio cables are directional. They need to be supported off the ground with isolators. They have damping factors. They must be "conditioned" to maintain the wire's molecular alignment. To the point of nausea. It's all snake oil meant to part the naïve shopper with his money. It's all nonsense! The only factor that affects the performance of an audio cable is the size of the cable for a given maximum distance between amplifier and speakers at a given impedance. If you have the right gauge, all audio cables will sound the same!" Gordon Gow, then President of McIntosh Laboratories, which still make high-quality, world-class amplifiers, recognized that wire resistance was a critical factor in speaker cable, and used speaker wire. Demo to show that there is no difference in listening between high-quality audio cables and normal line cables (lamp cables). A three-position switch was used to select one of three different speaker cables of the same length. One of them was an ordinary mains cable. The other two cables came from well-known high-end manufacturers. Speakers with an impedance of 8 ohms were selected for the test. The other two proprietary cables were heavier than the mains cable. The test confirmed his point. Nobody saw NO DIFFERENCE when using several different 8 ohm speakers heard." - from "Speaker Wire", "His tory" by Roger Russell. This brings me to the pure copper speaker cable from the Micca Media series with gold-plated banana plugs. This is a high quality, well made and durable handcrafted audio cable at an affordable price. $19.99 for 2 meters (6.56 feet) and ($34.99 for 4 meters - 13 feet Out of stock?). That's all you really need for the best cable for your Hi-Fi system. No amount of $1,000 per foot of audio cable will perform better. Note. Banana plug tips add about an extra inch to the cables. I love this cable. That's easy on the wallet. I also intend to order another pair for my living room speaker system. Steve Franks
