Review on ๐Ÿงบ 24-Pack of Amazon Basics Fast-Drying, Extra-Absorbent Terry Cotton Washcloths - White (12 x 12-Inch) by Melanie Jones

Revainrating 5 out of 5

All-in-One Money Saver!

UPDATE (4 months of regular use): The description doesn't mention color fastness but now that I've had the chance to wash them twice a week for several months I have good news. The purple washcloths are now more of a lavender color (more like the color in the ad) and are as soft and well-fitting as when purchased. The only lines I've seen are tearing off the labels with my hands - I don't have time for scissors. ๐Ÿ™ƒ I don't wash according to instructions either, I wash highly with warm water and I'm not nice to them at all. Thank you Revin! ORIGINAL REVIEW (November 2017): Through targeted advertising (I can't believe I'm saying this) I came across RevainBasics washcloths. <<<I won't buy anything else from now on!> >> You like to spend money? Do you want to know that you spent $50 on 24 "luxury" towels only to find that they don't absorb anything, don't fit well, and tend to rip/fall apart in the wash if not even used? ? Yes, me too. That was my experience with the other two companies, and given the reprehensible experience with customer service, I was willing to cut my losses and go to Walmart for some crappy rags that would only last a month at best. My efforts to eliminate paper towel waste turned out to be unsuccessful. Then my too frugal (cheap) heart was spared! Now I only have to spend $50 a year instead of $60 a month just to clean up my 5 little sluts. I have to be objective though, so here are the pros, cons and a comparison of product description ads and ads. REALITY.Revains Description* WARNING: Medium* STRENGTH: Medium* ABSORPTION (misspelled by Revain): Medium* SOFTNESS: MediumMy Experience* COMPATIBILITY: Low* DURABILITY: High* WARNING: Medium* SOFTNESS: Medium/High PERFORMANCE* Whiteness in Bleach kept hot in the washing machine. (Disclaimer: They specifically state NOT to bleach, don't know why.) *The whites only needed washing once and the lavenders twice to get rid of the original lint. * Used daily for: - Mopping floors. - Dishes, pots and pans. - General child and household disorders. - Towels for "good" baths. - Baby teethers and wipes after meals. (Place some ice cubes in damp washcloths and tie with a hair tie - another money saver!) - Face towels after washing. - Make-up remover. - Water absorbent under orchid pots.* Soft enough to use on face/body.* Just the right thickness to put on the sink and reuse. Other washcloths I've had were so thick that they had to be washed immediately after use or gave off a musty smell.* The end stitching is very well finished. Even when cleaning hard floors (and dog poop on cement), they don't even threaten to crack or leak. Unlike the previous two brands. * Tightly woven yet soft. A durable towel that your dog and toddler won't tear apart while tug-of-war!* Thicker than you'd expect for an inexpensive washcloth. It was difficult to get an accurate picture with the arms missing, but after washing and folding they reach about an inch and a half in height. CONS * Revain lists the size as 12"x12". As you can see from the photos they are more like 11" x 11.5". It was right out of the box before being washed and dried. * The lavender color was more of a dark purple. See photos - nowhere near in color. But I don't care, they work! All in all, this is an exceptional product at an exceptional price. They save me money, are great in presentation, rolled up in my guest bathroom, and useful for literally anything without showing much wear and tear like nothing happened. i am so impressed Seriously, look around the site, you'll see you're paying double and triple for the same number of flannels that also don't stand. I swear on my children's lives, I received no compensation for this review. We just really like them. :-) Hope that was helpful!
