Now I have three pairs of these sandals. The first pair is three years old and it occurred to me that they would eventually need to be replaced and may not be made by then so I bought two more pairs. The three-year-old pair are so incredibly comfortable it's easy to forget I'm even wearing anything on my feet. I have a problem with one of my big toes and these sandals put absolutely no pressure on my toes. But. The first day I put on one of the new pairs, I wore them for 7 straight hours, being on my feet the whole time and walking about 20,000 steps. At the end of the day, my legs hurt so much that I could hardly walk. It turns out that the very edge of the insole is slightly raised and puts some pressure on the outer edges of my feet, which I didn't realize until it was too late. However, after resting during the day, I continue to wear them and still love them. I'm sure the raised outer edge of the insole will wear down a bit over time and adapt to the way I walk and be as comfortable as my 3 year old pair. As for size, I wear an 8-1/2 with heels, boots, or sneakers. I wear size 8 for her. Don't worry about the size. They are quite wide but the buckles allow you to tighten them if you have skinny legs.
