We've finally decided to replace our old toothbrush. mainly because I accidentally dropped it on the floor and broke off a piece. I swear these things last forever! But I'm so glad we did it anyway. It turns out that movement, vibration and power have actually changed over the past decade and are worth updating from time to time. LIGHT PROBLEM: The only problem with this unit is that after a few days when we closed the lid the light went out. Entrapment, which means your toothbrush heads just sit in the wet container. Poorly. At the very least, you should let the heads air dry. HOW TO FIX THE LIGHT PROBLEM: We're pretty sure it's because the magnet that turns the light on is just really weak. Don't worry, this device wasn't expensive. To fix this, simply take a tiny neodymium magnet and place it on top (as shown). You don't have to leave it there, but if you remove it again, the magnet inside the device will lose its magnetism again within a few days and the light will stop working. However, if you just leave a tiny magnet on top of the device (it's magnetized, you don't need to stick it), your light will work perfectly. Very easy.
