This material is too thick for actual use. doesn't melt in the slightest when rubbed between your fingers like it's suggested, it just literally sticks your fingers together. Melting might seem like a good idea at first, but there is NOTHING in the jar that closes, and the material is so thick that you have to put it in boiling water for 5-10 minutes to loosen it up a bit. as soon as you start rubbing it into your hair, it becomes like resin again. I'll try to mix it with the "honest Amish" I have and maybe it'll turn into something really useful, but it's like trying to put cold dry tar on your beard. Good luck, hair dryers don't even weaken it unless you heat it enough to singe your hair. then the smell. oh god the smell even smells like tar. it has a thick, overpowering resinous smell. I honestly think they mixed some tar here because otherwise why would it look and fall and smell like tar? If you don't mind your beard at all and don't mind pulling your hair out of your face when you try to brush it, then this is a good product for you. otherwise stay far, far, far away.
