Review on Honest Amish Original Beard Wax by Olivia Barber

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Seems to work fine, just not good enough for me.

I am new to the long facial hair breeders club and recently attempted to grow a goatee after a week long hike 2 months ago. No recommendations so I went blind shopping and bought this product. At first I wasn't sure how much product to use, so I had to experiment. My beard is growing a little unruly with some follicles pointing in different directions whose hair is. crooked? When not activated, it looks like a vacuum nozzle with a puree brush. Maybe most guys are, I don't know. I just wanted the beard to grow straight down and look neat. Pros: I like the smell. I love that it uses all natural, organic ingredients and that they've been working on this for quite some time. Unsurpassed, proven. Nice logo. (I never heard of them until I looked them up.) Cons: It's wax, and wax can be messy. Sticks to fingers, combs and brushes; requires repeated washing and rinsing to eliminate stickiness. (Don't use dry paper towels, you'll end up with lint + wax, not just wax.) Bought a sandalwood beard comb (not cheap, btw) and need to wrap it in a tissue to carry around. The residue can be felt on the bare skin of the face next to the mustache and beard. There aren't many instructions, but I guess that's what YouTube tutorial videos are for. Turns out I use quite a bit of product and have to apply it multiple times with a beard brush (not cheap either). And yet it seems no matter how much I use there are still some hairs that are NOT lying, especially on the sides of my mouth. Oh. Maybe I just need to shorten it. But at least I have something of a routine now. Little anecdote. I go to Renaissance fairs a lot and this is the first year I've walked around with facial hair this long. Went like a pirate to one this summer. He trimmed his mustache and trimmed his beard. Received a compliment when I was photographed with a beautiful elf.tl;dr- If you have a relatively "tameable" beard, this should work. If they made a stronger version of this I would be very interested.

Cons
