I have now bought 2 of these. It used to be a vent mount, but who really wants their phone to have air conditioning or heat blocking? My friend had one mounted on her dashboard so I decided to give it a try. It has served more than 2 years in 100+ degree summers and cold winters with no problem. I found the perfect mounting height for my Silverado that still allows me to navigate and doesn't block the air vents. 1 year later it's still as solid as ever. It also comes with multiple magnets and additional back tape mounts. The rotating head ensures the perfect angle. As I said, simple but very effective and I am very satisfied with the product.
