Review on 🚲 XLC Fahrrad Schlauch 700C: Durable and Reliable Inner Tube for Bikes by Justin Albright

These tubes are simple threadless Presta valves with no locknut. I wasn't sure when I ordered them, but at $2.79 each I thought it might be worth a try. The tubes are not self-sealing or puncture-resistant, but even these additional features are available in more expensive tubes. The OEM Innovas replaced by XLCs were threaded and my initial search and intent was to replace threaded tubing with threaded tubing. It was the only moment I felt disappointment. I proceeded to install them and have now found that they are much better as the unthreaded valve stems don't wear down the rubber seal of your hand pump's Presta valve beforehand. Reading online, I've read forum discussions and reviews that it's possible that unthreaded threads won't bind to the air pump either, but as mentioned, these threads will cause wear on your air pump. I've had no trouble fitting a plain non-XLC threaded Presta valve and inflating the hoses to over 100psi, they hold air and if you can do without a locknut threaded valve these are great hoses. There were 4 broken knobs in the chamber of the front tire, I didn't check the rear one, maybe I'm paying the price for my laziness. One way or another, a hole formed in one of these defects, and consequently a plane. The XLC tubes consisted of completely undeformed rubber. All pipes bulge here and there, and that's to be expected with them. I had no problems. Customer service was excellent, fast shipping, Revain provided tracking number for USPS.
