I bought this a few months ago. didn't want to put my baby to bed with a bow but kept throwing him out of bed. First I gave her one of the tiny stuffed animals that didn't easily go through the bars which was great until the velcro wore off and we were back to zero. I bought it because it has buttons and no velcro. It's a very small and light blanket, so I don't have to worry about her choking on it, her little finger won't fall out, and the clasps are strong enough that even now, at ten months old, she can't unzip it. Herself. It gets through the bars of the crib when she carries it on on purpose, but it doesn't happen by accident and it saved us from having to get up in the middle of the night to find/replace a lost nipple. I keep it in the cradle and use the tape fixer on the clip during the day. She has gotten so used to it that when I put her to bed she drops her daytime sleeping bag and reaches for the covers herself. It's also cuddly/cute for them to comfort themselves. I wish I had bought this from the start! Great article. Highly recommended.
