I've been using these lights for a while now (have had them since October and am now writing this review in January). You need 3 AA batteries to use these lights. They were quite bright for a while and created a cozy atmosphere with their warm lighting. However, I have noticed that they drain their batteries quite quickly and you can tell by the fact that the light changes from warm yellow to yellow-green and starts to flicker. After replacing the batteries, they returned to their warm lighting. The clips are larger than most of those types of lights you'll find on the target, which is really nice. However, they can get tangled up pretty easily if you decide to take them off and place them in a new location, which I did. I only replaced the batteries 2 days ago so we'll see how long they last (I usually leave them on for around ten minutes, half an hour or an hour so I'll update this review with their total run time with that battery usage.
