Fantastic Lantern

Another great option from GVM for the collection as it proves to be a very powerful light source for any situation. Of course there are more powerful solutions, but for the price it's great compared to some of the Martin bulbs that come with some kits. , instructions and safety cable. Unfortunately, no C-clip is included, which is best for attaching to something like a truss or light tree. A tripod is of course another way to set it up. However, it's a bit heavy on most standard tripods, so you'll need to use something strong (and logically, this tripod isn't included). Again, it would be a good idea to use a sturdy clip with a clip. At least there is a safety line. Something you don't typically find in cheaper options. This is a must, especially if you have something you're mounting to a piece of trussing or a lighting tree (pole). After all, you don't want liability issues or a visit from Osh. The remote control is quite simple and offers many options to play with. Important if you place it out of reach or have multiple units. That way you don't have to keep running up and down stairs to make adjustments. The remote doesn't come with batteries, so you'll (oddly) have to buy two AAA batteries yourself. Again, for the price, it wouldn't be hard to ask for batteries. While the flashlight itself is a little heavy for most standard tripods, it's not that heavy. It certainly helps that it's an LED solution. Its external power supply is powerful but doesn't slow it down at all. The light has a built in fan that keeps everything cool without being noticeably noisy or anything like that. However, one of the biggest advantages is the lack of a remote control. For larger installations it supports DMX over Ethernet with a digital console. Something we use quite often in our setups so that everything can be programmed from one central location and controlled in every imaginable way with scenes, faders and saved/restored content. Since not all boards/controllers offer all of this, budget matters. Then of course it offers a master/slave mode. It offers more flexibility and functionality for the price compared to some of the bigger brands. The result is really good and everything can be packed well. ** If you found our review helpful, please rate it helpful below so we know. This helps us to provide quality feedback in the future.
