update. I've had this lamp for a little over a year now and the touch sensitivity has become inaccurate. The lamp turns on by itself, changes the brightness level by itself and turns off by itself as long as it is connected to the mains. I can no longer use this lamp unless it changes brightness level or turns off. Now that lamp is useless. I just ordered another lamp from a different brand. This lamp is perfect! Easy to assemble in a minute, which is good. It looks chic and sophisticated and the fabric of the lampshade is pleasant to the touch. The touch controls make it very easy to turn it on without fumbling with the switch. The 3 levels of brightness are great and give a soft, warm glow to the whole room. Even on the lowest settings, it's not too dark to see clearly. The USB ports and sockets are definitely a bonus!
